Robert Bengtsson
Robert Bengtsson was born in Cali, Colombia in 1975. He is of black, Latino descent. He was adopted by Swedish parents and he grew up in the south of Sweden. His first movie was The Yard (2016), directed by Måns Månsson, where he played the character Jonas. He started getting small parts in TV-dramas like Blue Eyes (2015) and Rebecka Martinsson (2020) but it was in Tunna Blå Linjen (2021) where he played the character Olle, that he started to get noticed. Robert has several projects in production for 2022 and 2023.
Robert is an accomplished singer and musician with several international stage musicals to his credit including the cult classic Jerry Springer the Opera (2003-2005) at the National Theatre in London, RENT (2007), Buddy The Musical (2010), Dirty Dancing the Musical (20121-2012) and The Book of Mormon (20017-2018). He's also a recipient of the prestigious Laurence Olivier Award for Jerry Springer the Opera in 2004.
