Matthew James D'Olimpio, more commonly called Matt or Matty by those who know him, was born at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City to parents Dr. James T. D'Olimpio M.D. and Ms. Louise M. Simon, R.N. His family brought him home to Queens, where he would spend the majority of his next 17 years living in the Bayside section of the large outer borough. Since then, he's lived in Boston, where he attended Boston University graduating with a BA in Philosophy and a BA in Political Science. He's also lived in London, England, where he worked for a Member of Parliament before returning to his beloved homeland of New York City. A few years after marrying the love of his life, Rachel, they moved with their son to St Paul, MN and later, St. Louis Park, MN, where Matt has yet to meet any Cohen Brother. Matt really, really likes movies. And cookies. All kinds of both. He also owns and operates Out in Front, Inc., a small independent production company that specializes in novel crowdsourced and crowdfunded media. He also likes astronomy and talking very loudly while gesturing madly. Matt is known to be awesome, but is often misunderstood. He also loves trivia. Matt also once had his computer confiscated by the authorities for quoting Back to the Future on his MySpace page. Professionally, Matt is best known as the Co-Producer of An Act of War, in which he also plays a small role as Ivana's Date. He also shot the still photography and Behind the Scenes footage. Prior to An Act of War, Matt's film experience was limited to watching a lot of movies and occasionally acting and crewing on a few of his friends films during and after college. Matt lives in St Louis Park, MN but will always call New York City his true home. He once ate at the In-and-Out Burger on Sepulveda Blvd. near the airport in Los Angeles, but that was it. Yes, it was delicious. He loves making movies and wearing his machete and is excited about his next opportunity to do both, hopefully together.
