Travis Blackwell
After moving to Los Angeles in 2010, Travis Blackwell spent the first few years supporting himself by winning commercial contests. He'd write, cast, shoot, edit, and mix the spots often with zero budget and hyper-fast turnaround. Out of hundreds of submissions per contest, his work would place as a top five finalist 80% of the time. He won awards for spots for Pepsi, Old Spice, The Popcorn Factory
Travis directed 11 hours of My Crazy Sex a television series airing on Lifetime He has also worked as editor on all forms of entertainment ranging from documentaries, reality television, scripted shows, short films, and music videos.
Travis has a commercial drone pilot's license and recently shot footage at Circuit of the Americas race track In 2019 his short film, The Spot is Mine placed second out of 500 submissions for the AT&T 48 hour film contest.
