Sumeet Kant Kaul
Sumeet Kant Kaul is an Indian film and television actor, theatre artist, singer and poet.
Hailing from a lineage of cinematic talent, Sumeet is the maternal great grandson of acclaimed film director, writer and actor Yeshwant Pethkar. A stalwart of the Prabhat talkies, Pethkar began making movies in 1947. His company Yashwant Pethkar Production Pictures created Hindi and Marathi films, including 'Aage Badho', giving Dev Anand his break into the industry; 'Apradhi' with Madhubala; 'Shadi Ki Raat' with Geeta Bali; and Jeevan starrer 'Jai Radhe Krishna'; as well as Marathi movies 'Sant Namdeo', 'Majha Mulga', 'Kon Kunacha', and many more.
A natural-born performer, Sumeet's acting prowess lies in his gift to deeply observe and express the profound, intrinsic complexity of human nature. Set to make his major debut in August 2018, Sumeet will play the lead role of Bali, a child trafficking don in upcoming social crime drama 'Pakhi' - a film based on real life stories of victims of child trafficking by ace producer and director Sachin Gupta of 'Paranthe Wali Gali' fame.
