Carlos Velazquez
Carlos Velazquez studied screenwriting and acting at NYU Tisch School of the Arts before becoming an independent film producer. He has 15 years of professional production experience. His films have appeared at top tier film festivals, and have all garnered International distribution.
Notably, he produced, "The Lifeguard" starring Kristen Bell, which premiered in dramatic competition at the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for best film. His credits include, "Book of Love" starring Jason Sudeikis and Maisie Williams, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. It was co-produced with Jessica Biel and features an original score by Justin Timberlake. Most recently, he was an Executive Producer of, "Breach" starring Bruce Willis and Thomas Jane, and was a primary financier.
Through a combination of private equity, foreign pre-sales and tax credit financing, Carlos has raised over 25 million dollars. He is currently producing, "Long Gone Heroes" starring Ben Kingsley and Guy Pearce, scheduled to shoot in Puerto Rico this fall. The film will launch a strategic partnership with the Puerto Rican Government and Film Commission to build Coexistence Studios, which Carlos is a partner and Co-founder of.
