Baird started right out of college ( National Film School of Ireland) as an art director and then director for legendary movie producer, Roger Corman working in both Ireland and Eastern Europe on several of his features and honing his filmmaking skills before moving to Los Angeles. Transitioning from a very successful career as a production designer working with many esteemed directors like Marcus Nispel, Mark Pellington and Jeff Tremaine on hundreds of commercials and music videos he got immediate recognition for writing and directing the infamous long-form music film for The Weeknd : Kiss Land ; the title song from his debut album from XO / Republic / Universal. He has gone on to work with many artists, brands , labels and agencies around the world including Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, VALvE, Swiss Reimagined, John Taylor, Ash, Tim Wheeler, Gavin Friday, Levi Jeans, Bohemian Society, Sony, Warner Bros., Ogilvy and 72 & Sunny to name a few. After seeing the music film for The Weeknd's Kiss Land, ICM sent him the script, Zone 414. Zone 414 became his first feature film. Baird has now completed the sci-fi noir which shot in Europe and stars Guy Pearce, Matilda Lutz and Travis Fimmel. Saban Films, Universal Pictures and Highland Film Group are releasing the picture globally in November 2021. He is now in post - production on his 2nd film; the crime-thriller, One Way, , which will shot in Georgia, USA in February and stars Kevin Bacon, Colson Baker ( Machine Gun Kelly), Storm Reid, Drea De Matteo and a second collaboration with Travis Fimmel. Highland Film Group once again have arranged finance and are handling worldwide sales and Saban Films will release theatrically in 2022.
