Grant Harvey

GRANT HARVEY is one of the most promising young actors to emerge out of Los Angeles. In addition to Jordan Ross and Cary Fukunaga's THUMPER which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, Harvey co-stars in the Will Smith starrer, EMANCIPATION, directed by Antoine Fuqua, due out next year. He'll also be seen in Ryan Murphy's Netflix limited series, MONSTER: The Jefferey Dhamer Story, in the coming year. Harvey also recently starred in TNT's "Animal Kingdom," as a regular within the show's new 1970's storyline, playing Colin, a damaged Vietnam veteran suffering from PTSD who has a knack for robbing banks. He co-stars opposite Leila George, who plays a young Ellen Barkin in the matriarchal role of Smurf. "Animal Kingdom" is executive produced by John Wells and is based on the 2010 film by David Michod. Born in Hawthorne, NV, Harvey grew up running his family's pizza parlor alongside his parents and brother Brian. He moved to Los Angeles after studying journalism for a few years at the University of Nevada, slept on couches and took several part-time jobs before landing his first acting gig on the ABC Family series, "The Secret Life of The American Teenager," starring Shailene Woodley. Fittingly, he portrayed Grant Volberg, a pizza delivery boy. Harvey's television credits also include Dan Fogelman's "The Neighbors" and ABC's sci-fi drama, "The Crossing," as well as guest starring roles on "Masters of Sex," "Shooter," "Supernatural," "Luther," "CSI," "CSI: NY," CSI: Cyber," "Bones," "NCIS" and "Criminal Minds," among others. On film, Harvey appeared in IFC's SAVE THE DATE with Lizzy Caplin and Alison Brie and will soon be seen in "Lost Transmissions," alongside Simon Pegg and Juno Temple.
