Christine Luby
An accomplished Assistant Director with 14 years' experience in film and television, Christine graduated to Directing in 2020 with her debut feature This Little Love of Mine - the first Australian film to commence production during the global Covid-19 pandemic. Her film had its World Premiere at the Gold Coast Film Festival in 2021 before opening wide in Australian cinemas. In July, This Little Love of Mine dropped on Netflix in 190 countries and climbed to number 2 most watched films globally on its opening weekend.
She followed that up by directing three episodes of the Netflix original Dive Club, a bold tween TV show - which trended in 25 countries in the top 10.
Originally from New Hampshire, Christine relocated to Australia in 2010 after living in London for 10 years. Christine trained as a contemporary dancer at Hampshire College and the Laban Centre and performed throughout Europe before moving into film production in 2007.
Christine's AD credits include blockbusters such as The Wolverine, Peter Rabbit and Aquaman and beloved Australian television shows such as Top Of The Lake: China Girl, Love Child and A Place To Call Home.
Now based in Brisbane, her second film You, Me & the Penguins is awaiting release and her third film Dolphin Cove is in post-production.
